Measure with Your Heart

There's a magical connection between relationships and food. Some of the best conversations happen in the kitchen while preparing a meal or around the table while eating. Food has a way of nourishing the body and feeding the soul. We slow down. Maybe we cook something from scratch. We talk. Laugh. Savor every delicious morsel. We create. Develop healthier eating habits. Stress is lowered. The heart is at ease...functioning better not only physically but also emotionally. The connection that happens is undeniable.

We know that it is sometimes challenging to think about what to make for dinner every. Single. Day. To be overwhelmed with trying to figure out what to buy, how to cook it, and to eat like your life depends on it. And to be honest...your life does depend on it. But it doesn't depend on that alone. It also depends on fresh air. Trying something new. Taking a walk. Watching the sunset. Having tea with a friend. Showing up for someone in need. Giving generously and receiving graciously. Allowing someone to care for you. Stopping to smell those roses...or that coffee... It's a beautiful life when we allow ourselves to embrace the moments around the table.

The world is on information overload. And it is so hard to determine what information is good and what is not so good. Who do we listen to? Who do we trust? It can be stressful trying to figure out how to do it all and do it all well.

All of this led us to start our cooking classes again! A time where we come together, learn how food fuels and heals our bodies, prepare a versatile dish together using fresh, accessible ingredients, get to know each other better, and build a healthier community from the inside out. Creating, laughing, learning, and EATING. And by all means...let's measure that garlic with our hearts. Don't hold back...
